WORSHIPFUL MASTER’S MESSAGE

WB RYAN C. MORRIS

To the Members of Williamstown Lodge #166,

It is that time of the year for our annual Beef & Beer and Chinese Auction that we hold in conjunction with Williamstown Chapter Order of the Eastern Star. This is by far our largest fundraising event of the year. We will need the support of all of our 200 plus members. If you have not been out to a meeting in a few years please take this opportunity to see some old friends and maybe even make some new friends as well.

Please do all that you can to support this event, as this is where we collect most of the money to help all of the people in need that we can. Not only does this fundraiser support our charities but also people in our local community such as little Abbie Levine. If you remember from January’s trestle board, I informed you of Abbie’s condition. Unfortunately, Abbie has been re-hospitalized. Currently, Abbie is hooked up to an artificial heart while; she is waiting for a heart transplant. Try to keep this six-year-old angel and her family is your prayers.

If you cannot attend the event please find it in your heart to make a donation whether it be monetary or a basket to raffle off at the auction. Just call me and I will come a pick them up personally. Tickets are now available through me. If you cannot attend we would gladly accept a donation from you, if you work at or own a local business please think of making a donation on behalf of the business. With the amount of members that we have we could hit a goal of $10,000.00 but only if we have the support of all members. Our annual dues do not even cover our yearly expenses so with out events like this we could not make any donations to anyone.

Unity is an important characteristic that our Masonic organizations must share. On March 12, 2009, I had the opportunity to attend the Grand Master’s Unity Table Lodge. Many of appending organizations were present such as the Amaranth, the Golden Chain, and the Order of the Eastern Star. All of their leaders spoke of how much they appreciate our support and offered wonderful toasts. The evening made me proud that our Lodge works so well with our ladies.

Fraternally Yours,

Ryan Morris
Worshipful Master
